  • Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
  • Scattered rain and thunderstorms have been forecast over Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
  • Isolated rain and thunderstorms are possible over Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Thursday (September 29)

  • Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are likely over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
  • Scattered rain and thunderstorms have been forecast over Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
  • Isolated rain and thunderstorms are a possibility over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.

The line of withdrawal of the Southwest Monsoon passes through Khajuwala, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Naliya, with conditions becoming favourable for further withdrawal from some more parts of northwest India and some parts of adjoining central India during the next 2-3 days. Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation lies over the northwest and adjoining the west-central Bay of Bengal.

Under its influence, scattered to fairly widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Telangana from September 28- 30 and over Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on September 28.

Additionally, fairly widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls is on the cards over Odisha on September 29.

Scattered to fairly widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is also expected over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on September 29-30.
