  • Fairly widespread to widespread rain with isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Chhattisgarh.
  • Fairly widespread rain with thunderstorms are possible over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Gangetic West Bengal.
  • Scattered rain with thunderstorms have been forecast over East Madhya Pradesh.
  • Isolated rain is on the cards over West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep, with a chance of lightning.
  • Dry weather is expected over the other areas.

  • Fairly widespread to widespread rain with isolated very heavy rainfall is likely over East Uttar Pradesh.
  • Heavy rainfall is possible over West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Chhattisgarh.
  • Fairly widespread rain with thunderstorms are on the cards over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand.
  • Scattered rain with thunderstorms have been forecast over Bihar and West Madhya Pradesh.
  • Isolated rain is a possibility over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, East Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep, with a chance of lightning.
  • Dry weather is expected over the other areas.

The withdrawal line of the Southwest Monsoon continues to pass through Uttarkashi, Nazibabad, Agra, Gwalior, Ratlam and Bharuch. Meanwhile, a low-pressure area lies over the west-central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast and its neighbourhood. It is very likely to move west northwestwards towards the Andhra Pradesh coast during the next 24 hours. Additionally, a trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with the above LPA to Bangladesh.

Fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls is very likely over Odisha from October 4-6, West Bengal and Jharkhand on October 4, Bihar on October 4, 5, east Madhya Pradesh from October 5-7, northwest Madhya Pradesh from October 6-7 and Chhattisgarh from October 4-6. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also possible over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha on October 4.

Additionally, fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning has been forecast over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on October 6 and 7, over northwest Uttar Pradesh from October 5-7 and East Uttar Pradesh from October 4-7. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also very likely over Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh from October 6-8 and East Uttar Pradesh from October 5-8. Isolated extremely heavy falls are also expected over Uttarakhand and northwest Uttar Pradesh on October 7.

Furthermore, fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning has been forecast over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from October 4-6 and over Telangana on October 5-6.

Finally, fairly widespread to widespread light or moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Arunachal Pradesh from October 5-7, Assam and Meghalaya on October 4 and 7, and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on October 4.
