The influence of an off-shore trough, a middle-level cyclonic circulation over the East-central Arabian Sea off the Maharashtra coast and strong westerly winds along the west coast is likely to result in the following weather events:

  • Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep
  • Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next five days.
  • Isolated heavy rainfall over Gujarat, Kerala and Mahe during the next four days, over Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka during the next five days, over ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during June 24-26, over Interior Karnataka on Saturday, and over coastal Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
  • Isolated very heavy rainfall over Konkan and Goa during the next three days.

The influence of southerly/southwesterly winds from the Bay of Bengal to the Northeast and adjoining East India is likely to result in the following weather events:

  • Widespread rainfall over Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next five days.
  • Isolated heavy rainfall Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next five days.
  • Isolated very heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal during June 25-28.
  • Fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Gangetic West Bengal during the next five days.
  • Isolated heavy rainfall over Vidarbha on Friday and Saturday, over Bihar from June 24-28, over Odisha during June 24-25 and June 27-28, and over Chhattisgarh during June 24-28.
