  • Heavy rain has been predicted across South Interior Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Madhya Maharashtra.
  • Widespread rain with thunderstorms is on the cards over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Vidharbha, Chhattisgarh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep.
  • Fairly widespread rain with thunderstorms has been forecast over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka.
  • Scattered rain with thunderstorms is likely over Bihar, East Rajasthan, Marathawada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Telangana.
  • Isolated rain with thunderstorms is possible over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, West Rajasthan, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

Tuesday (June 5)

  • Very heavy rain is possible over Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala, Mahe, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
  • Heavy rain is on the cards across interior Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh.

The combination of the active monsoon trough, strong westerly winds along the west coast, a low-pressure area over north Odisha and a trough from southwest Rajasthan to the west-central Arabian sea is likely to result in the following weather events:

  • Widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha during the next five days, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe during the next five days.
  • Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall activity over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and interior Karnataka during the next five days.
  • Isolated heavy rainfall over Odisha during the next five days, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, coastal and south interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during the next five days, over Madhya Maharashtra from Monday to Friday, and over north interior Karnataka from Tuesday to Friday.
  • Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan from Wednesday to Friday and over Uttarakhand from Tuesday to Friday, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan from Tuesday to Friday, over Uttarakhand on Monda, over East Rajasthan on Tuesday, over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and northwest Uttar Pradesh from Wednesday to Friday, Odisha on Monday, Thursday and Friday, Chhattisgarh from Monday to Wednesday, over Vidarbha from Tuesday to Thursday, over East Madhya Pradesh from Monday to Friday, and over West Madhya Pradesh from Wednesday to Friday, Konkan and Goa from Monday to Friday, over coastal Karnataka on Monday and Tuesday, over Gujarat, ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra Tuesday to Friday, and over Kerala and Mahe from Monday to Wednesday.
