Photos Show Tropical Depression Fred’s Wrath in North Carolina | The Weather Channel – Articles from The Weather Channel

Seven people are still missing after the severe weather from what was once Tropical Storm Fred brought extreme flooding to Haywood County, North Carolina.

More than 200 people are searching for the missing, which was nearly three dozen earlier in the week. Two people have been confirmed dead.

Photos show mobile homes tossed and smashed in a campground after Tuesday’s flood, as well as destroyed buildings.

Fred dumped up to 10 inches in the area. The worst flooding was seen in Canton and Cruso, North Carolina.
