Elon Musk’s America PAC Pays $30 an Hour To Increase Voter Registration and Turnout

Elon Musk has increased his political capital: the company he established America PAC, a political action committee (PAC), pays workers a minimum of $30 an hour to register and turn out voters. The hiring effort was promoted on the PAC’s website where it is appealing to applicants to join the team and to help increase voter turnout in the election of 2024.

“LEARN WITH US,” the PAC’s homepage reads, “Email us if you are passionate about getting more people registered and voting. Start pay is $30 an hour and performance bonus.” Most have been taken in by the deal, since it’s far more than the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.

Musk’s Emerging Political Power

Musk, who earlier this year outspokenly supported the former president Donald Trump, has also emerged as a more active political figure. His endorsement of Trump comes as the 45th president seeks reelection to the White House in 2024. Musk appeared with Trump in a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania this weekend and Trump made a historic comeback following a July 13th assassination attempt during a rally in the same town.

“I think it’s the most important election we’ve ever had,” Musk told the assembled audience on Saturday “This is no normal election. The other side wants your free speech back. ‘They want to deny you the right to bear arms… They want to deny you the ability to vote efficiently’.

Musk spoke about voter turnout, telling attendees to ensure everyone in their networks registered to vote. He continued: “Fight, fight, fight, vote, vote, vote,” echoing Trump’s re-meeting address to followers following the attempted assassination in which he was bloody but stubborn.

America PAC’s Purpose and Approach

Musk’s America PAC launched earlier this summer and has since invested extensively in electoral initiatives. Last month, the PAC has invested over $2.4 million in more than a dozen major congressional races, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings. Musk has already said he will contribute $45 million per month to the superPAC for the sake of advocating for “free speech, free markets, and a meritocracy”.

The PAC has its voter reach reaching out in key battleground states like Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina as well as competitive congressional districts nationwide. They want to improve on the Republican Party’s GOTV (get-out-the-vote) initiative, which is an essential strategy going into the 2024 election.

Top Pay Drives Social Media Traffic – Forever.

Paying employees as high as $30 an hour as proposed by America PAC is being debated on social media as many point out the wages surpass the federal minimum wage. The salary has been posed as Musk’s attempt to capture a driven workforce in order to drive registration and voter turnout in 2024. As the PAC grows, it already has strategic agreements, such as with Turning Point Action, a conservative political organization, to beef up Republican ground game in states such as Wisconsin.

During the early weeks of the 2024 election, Musk’s politics, supported by hefty capital investments through America PAC, will be decisive in the outcome of the election.
